Located in Old Town Key West on the Gulf of Mexico and the end of Duval Street, this six acre compound is walking distance from just about anything you want to do. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with tropical foliage with a pool in the center of the property and a private beach with a top-optional sunning area. The thing that I love most about the Pier House is that while it is located in the middle of it all, it still feels secluded and private. You would never know that you are just steps away from famous bars like Sloppy Joe’s, the Hog’s Breathe, and Irish Kevin’s. Plus, this is the only downtown resort that does not have a resort fee or parking fees. The Pier House is home to a full service restaurant and room service, three bars which are always hosting entertainers, a dock for charter pick ups, and hi speed wireless internet access.
There’s also a restaurant that overlooks the water and offers casual dining, another restaurant offering elegant dining, and The Beach Bar featuring island-style cuisine. The oldest bar in Key West, The Chart Room, is a popular spot and is also the place where Jimmy Buffest played back in the day. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the water and boats passing by. We appreciated that we were both right at the hub of Key West, and that Pier House felt cozy and separate from the hubbub. The resort was gorgeous--the landscaping was lush and beautiful.

I was traveling w my adult daughter this time and wanted to stay somewhere safe and private and clean and I knew I could count on Pier House. The staff was friendly, the accommodation comfortable (especially the beds!), secured parking and a central location. The pool and the surrounding area looked tempting, but unfortunately we didn't get to try it.

Would have preferred a higher floor although must admit access was easy as we did not have to wait for elevators. Right next to Malory Square and all the action on Duval. We were close to where we got on our boating excursion and our concert venue.
We enjoyed a morning at the spa and delicious breakfast every morning. There are no extra beds available at this property. The number of cribs allowed depends on the option you choose.

Elegant dining is available in the hotel's One Duval restaurant, offeringlocal organic fare for dinner and a delicious Key lime Pie. The Chart Room --the oldest bar in Key West and where Jimmy Buffet played back in the day -- is filled with marine charts and nautical charm.
We are sure that the view from the hotel is beautiful when the sun sets, but we still went a few steps to the pier. There are turtle/koi ponds interspersed with tropical vegetation andbrick pathways leading guests to the different areas of the hotel. Common spacesare open and airy with skylights offering lots of natural light, giving the property a bright feel.
Harbour View Rooms overlook the Gulf of Mexico and have a private patio or balcony as well as your choice of one king or two queen beds. The Pier House Resort offers several styles of rooms and suites, all reflecting a traditional island style. When booking more than 9 rooms, different policies and additional supplements may apply. This property was highly rated for its very comfy beds. Breakfast, location, beach, pool all wonderful, but the couples massage at the spa was amazing. You are also close to some great restaurants like Bagatelle, A&B Lobster House, and the Boat House.
